On 29 July 2020 two Federal Courts issued nation wide injunctions preventing the US Department of Homeland Security from enforcing the “Public Charge” rules that went into effect in February.  The Plaintiffs and the Court held that these requirements to the new Public Charge Rule should not be enforced while the nation in a public health crisis involving COVID-19.  For now, the USCIS is not requiring the submission of USCIS form I-944- Public Charge Rule.
